Based in Ilkley, CTI2000 provides opportunities for adults with learning disabilities to meet for fun and friendship, to be active members of the local community and to help them reach their full potential. Amongst our wide range of activities, we hope there is something for everyone. Whilst the emphasis is on having fun together, our activities are designed to build self-confidence and improve essential life skills. All our activities are led by experienced staff with volunteers and are properly risk assessed.

Our history
CTI 2000 was set up as a millennium project by Churches Together in Ilkley, and 2020 marked 20 years of supporting people with learning disabilities. When we started in 2000 the main aim at that time was to provide supported housing in the town for adults with learning disabilities to enable them to live independently. The house, which was purchased with Brunel Housing Association, is now well established. Since then the charity has grown considerably and currently provides a wide range of activities that make use of many venues within and beyond Ilkley. Some of these were originally run in partnership with Bradford College but now these are run entirely by the charity.
One of our success stories is, the Café project, which enabled clients to learn how to prepare, cook and serve food in a safe and friendly environment. It developed from The Oasis Café to become Outside the Box which is now an independent company with premises in Ilkley. |
